Hvatia is the website of an ethno-fantasy project aspiring to historical speculation. Our goal is to revive the ancient history of the borderlands of Silesia and Lesser Poland, with particular emphasis on the area of present-day Bielsko-Biała, through film production. We aim to initiate and support a community movement connected to this idea.
We are interested in the pre-state, pre-Christian period, beginning in the 9th century and reaching back into the distant past — including the time of Scythian activity, the Lusatian culture period, and even earlier eras.
The Hvatia project envisions the creation of a universe based on the content of the film, with the possibility of expanding into other forms of expression and entertainment. On the website, you will find a project description, contact information, an event calendar, and sections devoted to history, visual elements, prose, conferences, meetings, a link to the game, as well as films and artwork.
